Volunteer at Gibraltar!

Whether you enjoy gardening, meeting new people, or simply spending time outdoors, we'd love to have you join our volunteer community!

No experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, work, and help care for one of Delaware's most beautiful historic gardens. We provide all tools and guidance, so just dress for the weather and bring gloves and a water bottle!

Our regular volunteer sessions are held Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You're welcome to stop by whenever your schedule allows—whether you contact us ahead of time or simply show up!

Volunteers assist with planting, weeding, pruning, seasonal projects, special events, and much more. Work at your own pace, meet wonderful people, learn about horticulture, and make a lasting difference while enjoying the beauty of Gibraltar. 

There are also opportunities to help during public and private tours and public programming events like our Easter Egg Hunt at Gibraltar and, Ice Cream Social, and Greens Sales during the winter holidays!
